Smoovtime features Rico Lewis, longtime drummer/MC for the legendary George Clinton and his P-Funk All Stars. During his 15 years with P-Funk, Rico toured all over the world and played at legendary festivals including Woodstock ’99, FujiFest in 2000 and the historic Montreux Jazz Festival in 2004. He has played with a virtual “who’s who” of rock, such as Red Hot Chili Peppers, Phish, Lenny Kravitz and countless others.

Smoovtime is all about high-energy, modern-day funk with a strong nod to its roots. You’ll hear original songs with a blend of jazz, rock r&b, hip-hop – all melded into Rico and Smoovtime’s unique jammy groove. Plus funked-up covers by the funk Legends of past and present.
