Spawned from the primordial funk of Black Rock, Connecticut, MOJO is an 8-piece Funk-Party band. Founding members Eric and Tracy conceived the funk orchestra known as MOJO as a result of a series of open mic jams under the name “ET”. Each week new members were adopted until the eventual birthing of the full band unveiled in late 2012.

Since conception, MOJO has become a presence on the Southern Connecticut music scene. This prominent live show of infectious grooves will get you up and lay down the funk. The MOJO experience creates a high-energy atmosphere that encourages crowd participation, soul trains, and booty-shakin’ all around.

Comprised of two guitarists, three vocalists, horns, bass, keys, and an extensive percussion section; MOJO brings an immense sound to every show. MOJO’s sets are deeply influenced by the grooves of Funkadelic, the moves of James Brown, the power of Big Sams Funky Nation, the dueling-guitar solos of The Allman Brothers, and the soulful female vocals of Tedeschi Trucks Band.

The explosively funky 6 piece ensemble, Neon Ducks, hail from Black Rock, a section of Bridgeport, Connecticut which is home to a tight knit community rich with music and arts. Sharing the bill with regional north east acts such as The McLovins, Viral Sound, FiKus, and Banooba, Neon Ducks have quickly become a recognizable name around the Connecticut shoreline.

With face melting dance grooves, disgusting funk, a dash of reggae sweetness, and pure raw rock, Neon Ducks bring a their own unique eclectic style to the table. Their debut EP, "Ducks in Space" recorded at Gravity Bridge Records in Bridgeport, CT has just had its final touches and will be available online and at their shows. Ducks in Space accentuates what this ensemble is truly derived from; making music and having fun while doing it.
